In April 2007, HGTV video taped me making a plant stake for their series That's Clever.  They finally ran the episode (#532) last week, so I get my six minutes of fame.  It can be found on YouTube:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VX0eNm6BMwI  Enjoy!

I watched your "That's Clever" episode and I loved your project! What size (diameter) of copper refrigeration tubing do you use, and do you prefer any particular supplier? I've only been soldering for about a year, and I'm getting better with practice, but this is the first time I've come across a solder-required project that I thought I could really sink my teeth into. Kudos on your blog, too - very inspiring : )

The size depends on how big I am making it - either 1/8" or 1/4". The HGTV one was 1/4". I use 1/2" when I need a sturdy straight stem.
